The season is soon upon us and we are all working toward that ultimate goal of getting a nice one. I am shooting for my oldest boy who will be eleven soon in getting his first buck this year with a bow. I really got him going last year and we really tried hard but luck just wasn't with us. We saw lots of deer but just couldn't get one close enough. Now, my six year old boy is wanting to go bow hunting with daddy. I just don't have the heart to tell him that his little bow won't get one. And lo and behold here comes my two year old. You just can't say no to those little blue eyes. I literally think he could run deer down. And last year my oldest girl who just turned 15 started hunting again. Its been a few years for her. She's dropped a few bucks of her own. I think it has more to do with she can sit by herself now and TEXT away. I guess what I'm trying to say that the coming of deer season means alot more to me than it did 15 years ago. I still want to get that big one just like you, but if one of my boys got him or my daughter it would make my whole season a success. If you have kids you know exactly what I mean. I don't hunt near as hard or as well as I used to. Having the boys with me all the time will put you in a shooting house alot more than you should be. I welcome anyone who can relate to this to check out our club and contact me.
